Activity #4

Below are the links to the productivity applications that I worked on with Andrew Sedillo.  We decided to visit the Bahamas and our Google docs revolve around that.

  1. I found these activities to be very engaging and productive. I have worked with Google docs for a few years now but have never chatted with someone while I was doing it. This was a lot of fun and will come in handy for me in the future. Most of my work with Google docs in the past consisted of spreadsheets and documents for work. The beauty of this program in the ability to share and edit. I think that productivity applications will be very beneficial for the classroom. First of all, they are a permanent account of work and are saved to the web so they cannot be lost. Students may also collaborate with one another to create projects. No matter what your content area is, Google docs may be applied in some way or form. The spreadsheet and graphs can be very helpful for science and math students. Presentations are applicable for all. Documents can be used for all as well. Teachers may also save presentations and lecture notes to Google docs and then share them with students and parents. This can be a great way to get parents involved. I will definitely be using these tools in my classroom, as I already do so much now.
