For this activity we were asked to find a place we love, using Google Earth, create a Wordle describing the place and then have a partner figure out where the place is using our word descriptions. We have to figure out what place our partner is referring to in their Wordle and create a Voki describing this place.

Today we used Google Earth to locate a favorite place we have been to or wish to visit. I think that Google Earth could be a wonderful tool for teachers to use. As a Language Arts teacher, I could have students visit actual setting referenced in literature and also have them visit places where authors are from. This would be a great tool to use for a research report on places.
ReplyDeleteWe also placed descriptive words about our location into a Wordle. This could be a good tool to use for classroom review games, test questions and also for artistic elements to add to projects in a Language Arts class.
Finally, we worked with voki to create a character to use to guess our partner's desired location. Voki is a great tool to use as a teacher to give lectures, presentations and short summaries to your students. Students can use this for presentations as well.
The presenters did a great job with this. I had a lot of fun with this activity!
